Introducing Bhonesa Kirpal
Dry January® USA Ambassador, Clinical Research Associates Research Assistant
Bhonesa Kirpal is a proud Guyanese medical student at Meharry Medical College (MMC) at the School of Medicine. He immigrated to the United States in 2007 and has been passionate about medicine since elementary school. He aims to specialize in psychiatry, particularly in depression and addiction. He aspires to be a leader in public health and aims to reduce inequity gaps, improve social determinants of health, and uplift the quality of life for all people.
Bhonesa is an ambassador for Dry January® USA - an internationally known organization working to educate Americans and activate a campaign to raise awareness about the negative impacts of alcohol on health, families, and the community. He is also a research assistant at Clinical Research Associates Inc. focusing on reducing health equity gaps within minority groups in the community of Nashville Tennessee. In his free time he enjoys teaching anatomy and tutoring medical students at the Center for Educational Development and Support at MMC.
